Nestled among the farm fields of small town Waterloo, Illinois, The SeeMore Inn is the perfect getaway for those looking for a quiet respite from big city life.

Built in 1875, the historic two-story property was a private residence for decades before it became a bed and breakfast.

Human Support Services (HSS) purchased the Inn in February 2018 with a unique mission – to operate a bed and breakfast where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities could learn, work and pursue independence.

With guidance and supervision, HSS clients take the lead in the day-to-day operations of The SeeMore. For them, it is an opportunity to build skills, interact socially and develop careers. For guests like you, it is a one-of-a-kind experience with staff who find joy in their work and love going the extra mile to make your stay memorable.

The SeeMore Inn offers both the irresistible charm of small town living and the convenient access to big city fun. We are just 35 minutes from downtown St. Louis, 15 minutes from south St. Louis County, and only a three to 15-minute drive from local boutiques, breweries, parks, hiking trails, restaurants and wineries.

We gladly provide shuttle service to area wineries, shops, restaurants and breweries, and are more than happy to offer suggestions on local hiking trails, nature preserves and scenic views!

Site Seeing:

The SeeMore Inn offers free shuttle service to sites within 10 miles of our location, which includes a wonderful array of wineries, breweries, restaurants, shops and a movie theater. We are also just a short drive to St. Louis, a city full of entertainment and adventure. Explore the tunnels at The City Museum, take in a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, ride to the top of The Gateway Arch or enjoy a fantastic Italian meal at one of the restaurants of The Hill neighborhood.

Miscellaneous:

Waterloo is the county seat of Monroe County, a historic community rich in German heritage. Visit The Monroe County History Museum, or take our shuttle to the nearby hamlet of Maeystown to see a stunning stone bridge and vintage shops.

Out on the Town:

Looking for night life? The downtown historic district is lively with a wine bar and two breweries. Bands frequently play on weekend evenings. If you're feeling more adventurous, make the short drive into St. Louis where the bars, restaurants and theaters are full of excitement.

If you're a nature lover, The SeeMore is the perfect place to rest your head after a day of hiking the bluffs at Salt Lick Trail. Explore the flora and fauna of our region at one of our many local parks or nature preserves.
