Relax at Our Bed and Breakfasts in Western Illinois

Find comfort and friendship at a B&B during your trip to the Quad Cities and ‘Forgottonia!’ The best of lodging in Western Illinois is offered at our member inns, which reflect much of this area’s quiet, peaceful lifestyle. Even if you decide to visit the city, these sanctuaries welcome you back to the harbor of friendly hospitality.

Western Illinois area inns offer an ideal relaxing atmosphere during your getaway to the land between the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.  This 14-county region was created to protest inequality in a state where government funding created inequality. When the region failed to procure development rights in the 1960s and 1970s, the area became “forgotten”, bringing about its sad nickname. However because of this slower development, the entire area offers a relaxed feel, simpler living and a firm handle on area history: a welcome respite from today’s frantic pace.

Area villages and towns range from historic to very modern. While you might find Revolutionary figures or expect to find scenes from Norman Rockwell, you will also discover destinations with every modern convenience and big-box store.  The variety of living here offers the possibility of a completely different getaway every time you visit.

The Illinois Bed & Breakfast Association can direct you to the perfect inn for each visit to Western Illinois. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful region!
